The Bhutan Adventure Tour 6 Days is the best for nature lovers and spiritual exploration of the Land of the Thunder Dragon. The trip will begin with a scenic flight to Paro, where the Himalayas greet visitors with spectacular views. It will cover the most iconic valleys in Bhutan: Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha. The country is a destination that unfolds an exclusive blend of history, traditions, and beautiful scenery.
At Thimphu, the bustling capital of Bhutan, visit the National Folk Heritage Museum, the Memorial Chorten, the School of Arts and Crafts, and the magnificent Tashichho Dzong, which is a wonderful example of the Bhutanese living culture. An eye-catching journey on the Dochula Pass to Punakha is home to the calm Punakha Dzong, located at the convergence of two rivers. Subtropical beauty, rice fields, and serene villages adorn the valley.
The 5 Nights Bhutan Adventure package of the tour includes hiking the Tiger Nest Monastery (Taksang) in Paro, which is built dramatically on a cliff edge, providing a spiritual and breathtaking experience as well. During the journey, the tourist interacts with monasteries, dzongs, and the welcoming, Buddhist-based Bhutanese lifestyle. Take this exquisitely planned trip to immerse yourself in the culture, marvel at the natural wonders, and capture unforgettable moments of Bhutan’s eternal beauty.
The Bhutan Adventure Holiday Itinerary starts at the Paro international Airport; refreshing Himalayan air and beautiful scenery greet you kindly. Take the scenic route to the beautiful Bhutanese capital, Thimphu. Stop along the road at the beautiful meeting point of rivers at Chuzom and Tamcho Lhakhang.
Following lunch in Thimphu, visit the highlights of Thimphu: the great Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point), old Simtokha Dzong, the tranquil Nunnery, busy Centenary Farmers’ Market, National Memorial Chorten, and Zangtopelri Lhakhang. Close the day by visiting the grand Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the central monastic body in Bhutan. Overnight in Thimphu.
On the second day, after breakfast, take a picturesque drive to Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula pass (3,100m), which offers a panoramic view of the snow-clad Himalayas and the 108 memorial chortens. When you reach Punakha, pay a visit to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, which is regarded as the prettiest fortress in Bhutan.
Next, go to the sacred Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility), then take a little walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, where the valley and river views are magnificent. You should have a glimpse into the local life before you retire to your hotel by visiting a nearby traditional village. Overnight in Punakha.
On the third day, after breakfast, drive to Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is a sheer masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture but located high above the Punakha River. Proceed into the quiet Gangtey Valley (Phobjikha Valley), a glacial valley of perfect purity, the winter home of the threatened black-necked cranes.
Go to the peaceful Gangtey Monastery, one of the most significant and oldest Nyingma monasteries, and then take a refreshing nature walk (1.5 hrs) through beautiful scenery with farms and forests. Finish the day at the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre to find out about conservation efforts. Overnight stay in Gangtey.
On the fourth day, return to Paro by retracing your route to the beautiful Dochula Pass. Visit the Botanical Garden to see the flora in Bhutan and the rich natural beauty. After visiting Paro, you will see the best Bhutanese architecture at the grandiose Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), a magnificent fortress-monastery.
Then visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), a former watchtower, where you can see unique art, textiles and cultural artefacts. You can enjoy the leisurely environment of the Paro Valley and then retire to bed. Overnight in Paro.
The most memorable sight in Bhutan that we spend this day visiting is the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest). Take a 5-hour up-down hike through pine forests and trails fluttering with prayer flags to the holy monastery, which hangs spectacularly on a cliff at 3,120 metres. The ride is breathtaking and has a lot of spiritual peace.
During the evening, spend free time sightseeing in the town of Paro; go shopping; or have a cultural experience by visiting a farmhouse, having a traditional Bhutanese dinner, and enjoying a relaxing hot stone bath. Overnight in Paro.
You have a final breakfast in your hotel and then you are transferred to Paro International Airport, where you board a plane and take off. Take with you invaluable memories of sacred monasteries, beautiful valleys, generous hospitality, and the eternal beauty of Bhutan as you part ways with the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
