Day-by-Day itinerary of Himalayan Kingdom Luxury Retreat

Day 1:Arrive in Paro, Transfer to Thimphu

Arriving at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and have a beautiful ride out to Thimphu, the colorful capital of Bhutan, with lush valleys and mountain roads.

Enjoy the views of the Himalayas while traveling, and stop by the local handicraft shops to discover Bhutanese art. Relax in the evening with a traditional Bhutanese meal made with organic products. Let the tranquil Himalayan surroundings set the stage for an unforgettable journey as you unwind in your luxurious hotel.

Day 2:Explore Thimphu Valley

On the second day, start your day by exploring Thimphu with the giant Buddha Dordenma. Next, visit the Memorial Chorten, where locals gather to pray. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Institute to witness the practice of Bhutanese art and crafts.

After lunch, visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, where the Bhutanese government sits. In the evening, take a walk through the local market, then enjoy a warm meal of traditional Bhutanese cuisine. Return to your luxury hotel and relax in the quiet ambiance of the Himalayas.

Day 3:Scenic Drive to Punakha

Day 4:Punakha Valley Adventures

Day 5: Discover the Gangtey Valley (Phobjikha)

On the fifth day, take a scenic tour of the beautiful Gangtey Valley, which is a beautiful glacial valley, famous due to its peaceful beauty and the wintering place of the rare black-necked cranes. Along the way, stop at viewpoints to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Return to your hotel. Get acquainted with nature, along with the green meadows and forests, or just relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere. During the winter, enjoy the view of beautiful black-necked cranes flying over the wetlands. End the day with a farm-to-table dinner by your hotel.

Day 6: Nature and Spirituality in Gangtey

On the sixth day, start your day with a guided nature walk through the calm Phobjikha wetlands, where you get to know about the ecology that is specific to the valley and the conservation of the rare Black-necked Cranes.

Visit the Crane Information Centre and then have a silent meditation session in Gangtey Monastery and absorb Bhutanese spirituality.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure; possibly refresh with a view of the stunning valley or just enjoy one of those flawless sunsets from your hotel. Day 7: Return to Paro

On the way, you can experience the Bhutanese culture by visiting local markets, learning about the traditional crafts, and capturing the colors of the village life.

Day 8: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
